Obama burned in effigy in Kabul

So much for Obama's magic improving the world's view of America. He was burned in effigy by demonstrators yesterday in Kabul, Afghanistan, demonstrators holding huge banners which read, "No Democracy - We want Just Islam!" This is further evidence that it is a waste of America's time, treasure and soldiers to try to do nation-building in Afghanistan. They don't want the kind of nation we ought to build if we're going to build one in the first place. Let's just go get the bad guys, get out of Dodge, and let the Afghans build whatever kind of nation they want. That's their business, not ours.

Hatred and burning our US Presidents is nothing new. It's always saddening to see America's good will efforts misunderstood. We must ask ourselves daily are we willing to pick up our cross and follow Him.

Well, I'm praying for all the mid-east countries, of course, but it seems to me they must have a clearer perspective on the EVIL of OBAMA than America does! That 'man' is EVIL INCARNATE! When do we STOP him from destroying our beloved America...who IS he anyway, that he gets anything he wants??? And CZARS? How SOCIALIST can he get? Is he so enamored with Russia and Iran that he will destroy everything that America stands for....GOD and FREEDOM? GOD BLESS and PROTECT America FROM her current "leaders"!

And what if they build up a nation similar to North Korea or Iran? Would it still be they're buisness then? Or would it be a threat to America so that you would have to invade it again? I guess that if John McCain would have been elcted they would burn aswell. Stay in the country and fix the mess you started.

You can not build a democracy (or Freedom for that matter), in a nation run by Sharia Law. The conflict between the two ideaologies is totally INCOMPATIBLE !

My concern is: if the Afghans want to live under Shariah law, that's one thing. But Muslim extremists believe that Shariah law should be imposed upon the West. It's not really a matter of "let them live their way, and we will live our way." So what do we do? I fear that too many westerners are abysmally lacking in understanding and conviction about their heritage and why it is truly superior to a system such as Afghanistan had under the Taliban.

We did that before in the 80s and were obviously unsuccessful. We must stay the course or plan to send our next generation back for another round.

If we consider them our enemies because of their political and religious view differentiating from ours we should pray for them and then leave and then continue praying that God would show them His Almighty power and place them in whatever position it takes to get their attention to listen to the Living God and Creator of all things.

I agree. We can't change Islam. But, I sure wish we could ban it in the West. The most dangerous ideology since time began.
