Obama Just Doesn't Care

I watched with interest as Obama made his remarks following the horrific Fort Hood shooting incident yesterday. As I'm sure you remember, President Bush got all sorts of flak for his handling of the 9/11 shootings because he was at a school listening to students read, and critics thought he could have handled the situation differently. What he was supposed to have done, I don't know. Perhaps run screaming from the room and terrorized the children?

At any rate, Bush's handling of 9/11 seems very presidential compared to Obama's address to the nation following the massacre yesterday. When he addressed the nation, Obama first congratulated the Tribal Nations Conference, thanked various staffers and then gave a shout-out to "Dr. Joe Medicine Crow - the Congressional Medal of Honor winner." This would have all been very appropriate under different circumstances, and I'm sure the conference was great - but how many people have just been murdered a few hours before at an Army post in Texas? Do you think you could have put those people first? My only conclusion is that Obama just doesn't care. Either that, or his advisors are clueless.

You would think that his script prompt would be a little faster. WHY? AMERICA, DID WE VOTE THIS GUY TO BE OUR PRESIDENT!?!?!?!?!? I think that the "Commander in Cheif" SHOULD BE A VETERN OF OUR ARMED FORCES!!!!!!!!!!!! How can anyone be a leader of our nation and not have the privlige of having to defend the country? If you are going to be a leader of our country then you should be willing to DEFEND IT FIRST!!!! This guy should be IMPEACHED and should have to REFUND all of the money he has wasted during his term as "our president" I thought that his response was disrespectful as a VETERN! If you are not willing to die for this country then you should even think of running for ANY public office!

I believe a lot of people have shifted their focus away from the real issue. Not saying our servicemen aren't important-I pray for daily. This country was founded on Christian principles, would Christ bad mouth the man God sent to lead? Pray for wisdom, discernment & an ear to hear from God clearly in all things.

Obama does not really care about the tragic deaths of the men and women in uniform at Ft. Hood. A man who callously supports the horrifying deaths of pre-born children is incapable of feeling the emotions that would naturally accompany such atrocities.

This President can no longer shock me with his lack of Presidential demeanor. But, what do we expect from a man who was in U.S. politics for less than a year and now becomes the President of the most powerfull nation on earth! In the words of Simen Cowel, "I think America got this one wrong." Why else would an American President and his administration be looking to enact 2 bills, that in this present economic situation, be the final straw to break this countrys back! I can't possibly believe him to be an intelligent man, unless it is his intentions to dismantle the USA, while he continues to read from teleprompters and not speak from his head or heart, everytime he addresses the nation. I just thought he'd have a different demeanor when addressing this moment in our time. I am truely sorry, to all the families who lost their husbands, wives, mothers, father's and/or grand children in that horrible act commited by one deranged man.

Obama does not care about anybody but himself. his disrespect for what happened at fort hood, his push for health care overhaul without taking a step back and taking it slow, and him forcing people to respect gay rights. This is not cool at all. We who are born in america are the people and we are his boss. when he does not do his job and duty to take care of the american people then its time to take into consideration of impeaching him or making sure he doesnt serve another presidential term. I am keeping the president in prayer that he will change his attitude and have better respect for the american people.

I watched Obama's handling of the tragic deaths at Ft. Hood in astonishment. Thought they were surely showing the wrong speech when he started by congratulating the Indians. Then he responded to the deaths of our troops in a wooden, robotic manner that belied their sacrifice. We send you our best and brightest, and you act like their deaths were less than nothing. His lack of feelings for our military was very clear. And chilling.

I agree - I watched him that afternoon, and thought, "what o earth is he talking about?". And a "shout out"??? He is the president, for goodness sakes. His demeanor was formal when finally addressing the situation at hand, but uncaring. It was sad.

To me he has shown his true colors when he took the presidency and the people he picked in his administration. I was hoping the changes would be good but they are not. I truly believe he is for the Muslin people. I really feel for the American people, whose love ones died at Ft Hood. If everyone put themselves in the family of the dead soldiers, Obama included, there should be more sympathy and concern for our president to act accordingly; do somthing about it. He didn't.

Why is everyone so surprised? This is the man who allegedly wrote in his book "should relationships between Muslims and the United States take an unfriendly turn, I would side with the Muslims". He is the same man who has already earmarked $20 million dollars to bring more Hamas Muslim immigrants to America to make them naturalized citizens. Wonder how many of them he will put on the federal payroll as czars or whatever other positions that he deems necessary which are also not Constitutional? This is the same man who allegedly said he considers the Constitution as just another piece of paper that we have to circumvent in order to do what the left wants done! This statement alone smells highly of treason because he definitely sounds like he is working to overthrow our government which is based on the Constitution!

He is the first president we have ever had that does not love this country and he is working to dismantle it, so he can set up his Marxist society with him as the leader of the elite ruling class. I saw this. I thought he came out to [specifically] give a message, regarding the shooting. half way into his speach, I wondered when he was going to give it. You are right, it is typical Obama. Liberal, uncaring. He should have just come out and talked about the shooting(s).

I think his comments were most sincere!!What would you want him to do? At least he spoke on the situation and showed his sorrow. Being President is not an easy job I imagine. He'll get critized for anything he does.

Obama made it perfectly clear where his priorities lie when the very first thing that he addressed was the horrific tragical event at Fort Hood which was down his list instead of at the beginning of his speech.

When he did get to the point of talking about the tragedy, it seemed it was difficult for Mr. President to offer sincere regret, condolences and request for prayers as he stuttered (or had trouble reading his teleprompter). James Duke

He should have commented on the killings at Ft. Hood first. He sounded like he really didn't care about the tragedy. He never mentioned that it was a radical muslum who did the shooting

I think the so called president could have showed a little more class in addressing the issue of the deaths the priority,the rest could have waited. Obama shows little concern for the United States and more concern for himself or inconsequential issues.

I think that he definitely doesnt care for the lives of the US Military,as is demonstrated by his lack of urgency in sending the additional troops to Afghanistan,as requested by his own general over two months ago.Also,he was quick to judge the motives of the New Haven,police sergeant,before knowing all of the facts,but was overly cautious to condemn the muslim shooter's motives in the Fort Hood massacre.Very puzzling,when the answer was obvious.

Full agreement of this content! I noticed the same response, wondering why the current incident wasn't addressed with more priority. Very disregarding & seemed more concerned in making a "good impression" than stopping for a moment to express his deep concern for those affected by such a terrible travesty. Thought former President Bush handled 9/11 very well from the classroom full of children, under the catastrophic situation. He displayed more Presidential honor in those first moments in our nation's history ( after only 9 months into the term ), than our current leader has in anything to this point ! I get the feeling he's still "in the courtroom giving closing statements"- JUST to win ! This most definitely is a time in history !

I was having the same thoughts as I listened to Obama yesterday. He didn't seem to have a clue of what to do or say as a president dealing with such a tragic situation. I think that shows where he is on our armed forces....he came across as very uncaring

Fort Hood? What's that? Obama was so busy pandering, that it was apparent the bloodletting at Fort Hood was a mere inconvenience in his day. It got me when he said not to jump to any conclusions about the perpetrator. He absolutely knew that Hassan was a Muslim, and now WE know that the killings were premeditated. From a church or from the military which his mentors despised? He is a great example of "all men's wisdom is foolishness" A man who only has himself as a teacher has a fool for his student. This is a President who has never served in the military and does not realize that being the Commander in Chief is his main duty, as opposed to Comrade in Chief. So far he has ignored any kind of decision regarding our military except to push for homosexuals to openly flaunt their sexuality within the ranks and spent all his time pushing his radical social agenda. This really ticks me off! Obama began speaking 30 seconds into this video. For a full 2 minutes, he was talking about a conference before he even mentioned the Ft Hood shooting! Was this a press conference for Ft Hood or not? Just goes to show what he REALLY thinks of our soldiers and their families!
