Elijah Friedeman, the Millennial Perspective
On their blog, the Heritage Foundation has compiled a wonderful resource, 100 things that are blamed on global warming.
In this age of entitlement and lack of responsibility, we love to blame outside forces for any problems we have. Apparently, global warming fits perfectly into this not-my-fault world we live in.
I'm not going to post the whole list here, but here are some of the highlights.
31. Severe acne
36. Flesh-eating disease
45. Bigger tuna fish
53. Penguin chicks frozen by global warming
58. All societal collapses since the beginning of time
59. Bigger spiders
62. Collapse of gingerbread houses in Sweden
66. Worldwide wars
67. Insomnia of children worried about global warming
71. Drowning of four polar bears
72. UFO sightings in the UK
79. Rise in insurance premiums
82. Increase in crime
87. Caterpillars devouring 45 towns in Liberia
94. Heroin addiction
And oh so many more.
So if you encounter a problem today, just rest in the calm assurance that you're not to blame. It's global warming's fault.
