Nancy Pelosi is in Campaign Mode

Nancy Pelosi scares me. She has demonstrated that she has the ability to lie under pressure, and come up with the most obscure references in any situation. Remember how she likened the political climate to San Francisco around the time Milk was assassinated? Or how she likened tea party protestors to Nazi's?

Well here are some more "Pelosi'isms".

Did you know that "climate change" is a women's issue?

According to The Hill, Pelosi said "women should be particularly concerned about the detrimental effects of climate change."

This is her argument: "Changing agricultural conditions will hit women hardest. In most developing countries, women produce the vast majority of the household food supply...As resources become more scare, so do opportunities for these women to attend school, tend crops, and life themselves out of poverty."

Hmm....That seems to me to be a bit of stretch. Let's compare it with another Pelosi'ism.

"We see Copenhagen as a meeting about job creation."

From the LA Times, Pelosi was quoted as saying that Copenhagen is about jobs. Jobs? She said, "How do we move forward to create millions of clean energy jobs and new technologies to keep America No. 1."

That's a good question Miss Speaker, how do we keep from killing millions of jobs with cap and trade, and Create millions of jobs with green technology? Everybody knows that cap and trade will cost this country dearly, and that so called green technologies so far do not come any where near their, what would you call them, "ungreen" counterparts.

This woman does not cease to amaze me. We can only hope that even though she has gone into campaign mode, that the good people of California give her the boot in the next election.
