AARP officials walk out of meeting, refuse questions concerning ObamaCare from angry seniors

Watch this must-see video! AARP supports government controlled health care!

August 7, 2009

Senior citizens who went to a meeting sponsored by AARP were left to themselves after the AARP hostess walked out. The seniors were trying to get answers concerning ObamaCare and why AARP would support a government controlled health system that many believe would lead to euthanasia and rationing of health care. Watch the video.

Why would AARP, the nation's largest senior's group, supposedly working for the elderly, support an ObamaCare bill? Here is what Dick Morris, former advisor to President Clinton, said: "The interest groups that usually speak up for the elderly, particularly AARP, are in Obama's pocket, hoping to profit from his program by becoming one of its vendors. Just as they backed Bush's prescription drug plan because they anticipated profiting from it, so they are now helping Obama gut the medical care of their constituents."

Like the National Education Association, AARP has been taken over by liberals. With millions of members, AARP is using its clout to push ObamaCare on the elderly, even if it includes euthanasia. AARP supported homosexual marriage by opposing Prop 8 in California.

Take Action!

Send your e-mail to AARP. If you are a member, do what the lady in Dallas did — cancel your membership. AARP is going to use membership dues to help push ObamaCare.

 • Forward this information to others so they can see how AARP is spending their dues in promoting ObamaCare.

American Seniors Association (ASA) is an alternative we suggest you check out. AFA does not officially endorse ASA, but simply offers it as an alternative to AARP. We think you'll be pleased with what you see.

Stop playing class warfare and the poor me attitude of people that need healthcare. No one on this soil is denied healthcare now. It isn't 47 million. There is only about 8 million total that want insurance, don't get it at work and are entitled to it. The rest either don't want it, don't need it or are not entitled to it because they are not citizens. census.gov is where you will find the real information, not msnbc or other left wing networks. There are 18 million of those people that elect NOT to have insurance because they have enough money not to pay insurance companies. There are 12 million illegals.

Tell the 60-year-old who isn't joining AARP that Medicare IS socialized medicine; so that when he turns 65 he should turn it down based on his principles.

I watched the viral video and am again ashamed of the insanity spread by those who are so threatened by President Obama's healthcare reform. The meeting was an example of anarchy in progress. It reminded me of herding cats - everyone wants to go their own way, and will scratch and claw you till they get it. Kudos to AARP for standing for the common good.

I will be cancelling my membership to AARP. Thank you for this eye opening video!!

Why is it people go to church and preach about helping the poor then when a program that will do help is considered bad because they fear it may cost them in some way. The company I work for layed off 100 workers and told them they will never come back because temp worker will be used, worker getting $10 an hour. Where will these FAMILIES get health care. Do not be suprised when the elderly are victimised by home breakins by people just trying to survive. Now go to church and beg forgivness!

Get out of your power chairs that I paid for, put down the cigarette, lose 50 lbs., gas us the guzzler and go find someone to help that's worse off than you. You my just realize there is a whole world out there that needs help in one way or the other, healthcare being one of those ways.

I will be 60 this summer. I had not joined AARP but was considering. They can now forget it. I will not endorse an organization that supports Socialism and socialist medicine

Just saying, "That won't happen," does not in any way mean it won't happen. I have read many parts of the bill, and so many areas are nebulous and leave the door open for many of these things people fear to actually happen when it gets down to making choices against the requirements of the budget. At least many of the conservatives are seriously questioning many of the provisions of the bill. Too many of the liberals just chant the mantra, "That won';t happen," like a parrot who has been taught to say a phrase with little to no undersranding of that phrases meanings and implications.

If this is true, we plan on canceling our membership to AARP!!!

AARP is all about United Health Care and it's offerings. AARP is about selling out seniors who put their trust into their ability to gather information for us, and to interpret it for us. We've been sold down the river. What a disappointment.

Why can't the politicians just open up Medicare and Medicaid more to cover all those that this new 'health plan' is to cover?
8/10/2009 12:13:41 PM
This is preposterous. We plan to cancel our AARP membership, if its position is the one described in this article. shippslog@att,net

Wake up America----you are losing your freedom!

First, at the present time no bill has been passed. Second, there is nothing in the current versions that would lead to euthanasia and rationing of health care. Third, medicare works just fine. And by the way it is a government health care program, just like the one offered to members of congress as well as veterans Fouth, AARP is looking after seniors just fine. I plan to continue my membership.

I am not a member of AAA but I will inform family, friends, neighbors and co-workers who do subscribe.

Single Star's comment about fear mongering is way off base. If you would LISTEN to the doctors in this country, most of them only take Medicare because they want to be able to help Seniors, but if Obama-Care goes through in it's present form, you'll be lucky to find a Dr. who will take it. And if they are forced to take it, you can bet that anyone with a life threatening condition will be told "Sorry, but you have lived a full life, and we can't afford to treat you", and then they will put you in hospice, or give you advice on how to commit Dr. assisted suicide. Is that what you truly want? I for one, plan to live a very long life (God willing), and I sure don't want a Gov't. bureaucrat telling me waht I can and can't have in the way of healthcare. You had better wake up before it too late!!

Garage and fear mongering, we have government medical and it is called Medicare. Works for me, everybody needs it.
8/8/2009 3:39:09 PM
Why did you turn on the ones that makeup AARP the seniors. With out us there would not be a AARP.
8/8/2009 9:49:27 AM
Yes, we need insurance reform but the devil is in the details and time is not being taken to analyze this legislation. I don't understand why a free society with civilized members would agree to laws without knowing what they are. Irrational approach leads to suspicion and paranoia - unless HR 3200 is discussed in detail no one should agree with it. Why would AARP endorse this?
8/7/2009 9:54:45 PM
would love to cancel aarp but my company insurance is thru united health care and that is aarp.
8/7/2009 7:29:44 PM
I left this organization several years ago because of their moving to the left in everything they did. Surely am glad I did! Hopefully many other seniors will see the light also. I am 77 but plan on living a while yet if the healthcare program doesn't get me. REG
