No, we don't need the government to oversight prices it is the "free market that will dictate prices. Economics 101! Don't allow the government to control or takeover our health care system. The government has been slowly moving towards total control and takeover since the early 1900's. The government needs to stop regulating and legislating greed and corruption. The truth is...there are millions upon millions of working Americans with no health insurance. Those numbers will continue to grow, as more and more companies stop providing health insurance because they can't afford the skyrocketing cost. One trip to a doctor can run over a hundred dollars, a specialist...upwards of five hundred dollars, one emergency room visit can run in the thousands. This issue is not about those who can't afford to pay these astronomical costs, but about the health care institutions who charge these prices with no oversight.

Christ does command us to be nice to everyone as you so eloquently put it. But in the same Bible that tells us to be nice, it says that if a man doesn't work, then he doesn't eat. One of the sins GOD hates is slothfulness (laziness). If we give govt health care to everyone, along with food stamps, and welfare. Where is the incentive to work for a living. I recommend that if you want to pay for someone else’s health care that you pick someone and buy their health insurance. How may people would you like to pay for? May be the IRS could put a line item on everyone’s tax return and ask if you would like to donate to the health care fund. As for me, I would prefer not to participate. The pro health care group loves to cite 47 million uninsured, when the real figures are more like 17 million when you weed out the people who can afford health care but decline, non citizens and those who are in between coverage. Yes we need to reform health care coverage, not throw the baby out with the bath water when we have the best in the world health care, our affordablitiy and coverage needs reform, don't dump the best care when 96% of all people are covered and 87% like their health care. Recently I e-mailed CNN, ABC, and CBS about their lack of coverage regarding the latest rally in our nations capital. (As of this moment, there has been no response.) I even tried several times to e-mail NBC, but it failed. I don't know why. Yesterday I was speaking to an acquaintance who suggested that the organizers of the Tea Parties rally around the major network stations in Los Angeles and New York. Will someone please point out to me where in the Constitution does the Constitution give authority to the U.S.Government to even think about taking over the medical industry? I do not see it anywhere granted this Right. I believe this medical problem can be resolved by returning the insurance corporations back to a not for profit status and this can be done because they being corporations are state create to begin with and therefore do not receive all the protections of the Constitution because they are not therefore considered to citizens of the U.S. The end result is they can and should be regulated as a nonprofit state created corporation.
