Ronald Reagan warned Americans against ObamaCare

In 1961, Ronald Reagan joined the American Medical Association in opposing the Democratic Party's attempt to force socialized medicine on the American people.

President Reagan's advice is just as relevant today as it was then. In part, he warned:

"One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It's very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. . . . Now, the American people, if you put it to them about socialized medicine and gave them a chance to choose, would unhesitatingly vote against it." - Ronald Reagan

An Aussie who loves his health care options. Govt provided medical insurance and a cheap private insurance option to cover what the govt doesn't. Oh, and a better life expectancy and birth survival rate to boot!!

Sometimes if stop being so negative about sitution, I believe can move forward. Each time if three is a new President we all thing the worst in a person.sometimes we don't take to look at the whole picture. Pray without ceasing and God will give you the answer.

HR 3200 is a disaster for our country like every thing Obhama has done. We are going to fight to get our country back.He is an absolute Socialist. If he loves that kind of government why don't he move to a country that beleives like he does?!!!

I went through Socialism in England. Why do you think I left? Bill Bradley who was Senior Medical Officer Ministry of health in the government was a friend of my family. My father was also a Doctor. I used to go head to toe with Bill Bradley over the National Healthe Service intent. It always ended up with him expounding how good it would be. My response was that anything you propose as "free" to the general populace ends up as a means of fraud, taking anything available. Corruption being the driving force. Frank Jones
