Abercrombie & Fitch pitches new trashy T-shirts to America's youth

Send an email to Abercrombie & Fitch. Ask them to pull their sexualized shirts.

September 9, 2009

Abercrombie & Fitch (A&F) continues its pattern of pushing pornographic-themed material into mainstream America. Abercrombie & Fitch has just begun offering their "New College" line of T-shirts.

The first A&F T-shirt pictures a young girl opening her blouse - exposing herself. A&F titles the image: "Show the Twins".

The second picture is of a female running nude. A&F titles it: "Female streaking encouraged."

The next Abercrombie & Fitch T-shirt is entitled: "Female Students Wanted for Sexual Research"

Abercrombie & Fitch does not merely sell a popular line of clothing – they sell a lifestyle. And because A&F clothing is popular among teens and college kids, the influence of their sex-as-recreation lifestyle is widespread.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention reports that Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) remain a major public health challenge in the United States. CDC estimates that approximately 19 million new infections occur each year— almost half of them among young people 15 to 24 years of age.

You can see the pictures of the shirts here.  WARNING: They are offensive.

Take Action!

Send an email to Abercrombie & Fitch. Ask them to pull their sexualized shirts.

After sending your email, call A&F at 614-283-6500 (press "0" to speak directly to a real person).

After emailing the CEO, Michael Jeffries, I googled him to find more information, expecting to see a young bachelor as CEO, but instead I found a 65 year-old father. For some reason, it is more disturbing to think a grown man and father is behind the despicable material that comes out of that company!

You're going after Abercrombie & Fitch when there are thousands of other companies that make t-shirts that are way more offensive? That doesn't make sense. Get real. If kids are going to have sex, they are going to have sex. The t-shirts provide nothing but dirty humor.

We do not shop A&F. I have too much respect for my daughter to support the lifesyle they promote. We need to let them know "enough is enough."

We don't really shop the stores but may get something second hand. Unless they retract these disgusting tees, we will not even buy second hand!!!

I have been boycotting A & F for many years. I think the managers must be totally amoral and I would not allow my children to buy anything from them.

To whom It May Concern, I as a parent of 4 am very concerned about the message you are telling our children. Believe it or not but are kids for some odd reason find your adds and clothing cool. Also you should be ashamed of your selves for making your wallets fat on the expence of our children.

we are the salt of the earth, we must let God pour us out of the shaker and show His Love and light. We must speak out in Love and show these lost ones "The Way, The Truth, The life"!
