Nickelodeon's 'Glenn Martin, DDS' is appalling

Nickelodeon at one time was a television channel for children, but this is no longer the case. Nick's newest cartoon "Glenn Martin, DDS" is supposedly a family-friendly show, but parents will disagree.

The content on this program is inappropriate for children and is turning out to be similar to the infamous "Family Guy."

Some brief examples of what airs on this show include:
• Parents use handcuffs in bed for kinky s*x.
• Mom has intimate relationship with 13-year-old boy.
• 13-year-old boy mentions Penthouse p*rn magazine.
• Brother and sister brag about their incestuous relationship.
• Father has phone s*x with automobile navigation voice where she includes phrases such as: do you like going south, intercourse, and you like it slow. Their conversation and ends when the windshield wipers squirt water and he says he will wipe that up.

Nick even describes the characters of this program on their website. The 13-year-old boy is described as being dim-witted, but what he lacks in intelligence he makes up for in raging hormones. When he isn't thinking about girls, he's thinking about women.

Nick airs this offensive show every night. It is irresponsible of Nick to air this animated program when children are likely to be watching.

This actually isn't true. I have seen every show and the mother DOES NOT have a relationship with her son outside of a typical mother's relationship. And the brother and sister DO NO brag about an incestuous relationship. There is other sexual humor, but claiming these taboos exist when they do not is just wrong.

Why do you people keep claiming that cartoons are only for children? They are not for children, they are for us adults. Th7Sticks

I'm pretty sure this show comes on Nickelodeon's Nick at Night segment, which is aimed at a more adult audience. In fact the show is rated TV-14, which will pretty much tell you that you can expect jokes like this. Some parents need to realize that not all cartoons are targeted at kids these days. In fact, I can name 12 off the top of my head that are targeted at adults, and that's not including Japanese Anime that Cartoon Network's adult segment, Adult Swim, airs. Summary: Parents need to pay more attention to what their kids watch. They need to stop ignoring ratings on TV shows, and need to stop relying on the TV to raise their kids for them. Besides the show is not that good, and will probably get canceled, but then again so did Family Guy and it came back so you never know.
