Here are a few recommended actions:

- Email your members of Congress! - AFA's online Legislative Action Center
- Call Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates - 703-545-6700 (ask for his office)
- Call Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff - 703-545-6700 (ask for his office)
- Call your local military recruiter's office and let them know you believe recruiting will be hurt if gays are allowed to serve in the military.  Ask them to pass your concerns along to their superior officers. (You can find their phone number in your local phone book Yellow Pages under "Recruiter-Armed Forces.")
