The winner of the trip to Colorado is Mary Jackson - Siloam Springs, Arkansas- congratulations!
Mary wrote this about her son:
The greatest joy is watching the life and story of Jesus come alive in our 4 yr old when he sings and worships. When he came to live with us 6 months ago, he didn't know anything about Jesus, but now for every time he gets a new toy, new shirt, or just a piece of candy our little man thanks Jesus. For "All the good times" he will say when he's thanking Jesus because now he knows what "good times" really are. He believes in the power of Jesus and already has several Bible stories memorized. Whether he is at home, in the car, or at church he is always ready to worship! His eagerness to learn more about God is amazing especially knowing the conditions he has had to live in and go through the past 4 yrs. He says that he wants to be a preacher like his Papa and loves to pretend he is preaching a sermon!
We have put this scripture on his wall and pray this over him daily: "There the child grew up healthy and strong. He was filled with wisdom beyond his years and God placed His special favor upon him." ~ Luke 2:40
We are admired, I guess, by some who feel that our little man is so blessed to be able to live with us, but I cannot begin to express how God has blessed me and our home with him. The Lord knew that we needed him as much if not more than he needed us.
Thanks so much to AFR for giving us this opportunity to attend this conference. We look forward with great expectation and anticipation to see what the Lord has in store. As pastors, we are especially looking forward to sharing what we learn with our congregation to help minister to our families there. Blessings to you and all of AFR staff!
